Charlotte Tilbury has been focused on new skincare launches of late – with the Magic Serum Crystal Elixir and Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir – but she’s now launched her latest makeup: the new Airbrush Bronzer, alongside a new Air-Brush bronzing brush and details of refillable bronzing palettes.

The new Airbrush Bronzer ships in a shell-shaped design and is on sale now, having dropped on Thursday 21 May, for £39.

The Kabuki-style Air-Brush is retractable, making it super portable and less likely to pick up dust and dirt from your handbag, and can be used for applying the Airbrush Bronzer, or any powdered products. This brush costs £32.

In addition, later this Summer Charlotte Tilbury will be releasing Airbrush bronzer refills that may make it cheaper to replace your favourite, or swap shades as the warmer weather kicks in and your natural skin tone darkens.

If you want to know more, or learn the art of using bronzer, Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup artist niece, Sofia Tilbury is hosting a live Airbrush Bronze-Along via the Charlotte Tilbury YouTube channel or the Charlotte Tilbury website. The live tutorial goes live on Thursday 28 May at 7pm BST.

You can buy the Airbrush Bronzer and Air-Brush as part of a makeup bundle, called the Airbrush Bronzing Kit, for £67 (saving you £4).

Alternatively, swap out the brush and add Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation and Airbrush Flawless Powder for a bundle price of £102. If you bought the products in this 3-Step Airbrush Routine Face Kit separately, you’d be paying £108.

Neither bundles offer huge savings, but they are savings nonetheless! You can see more savings like these in our Charlotte Tilbury sale roundup.

What’s more, there is a new Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette, designed to complement the tones in the Airbrush range. This Luxury palette, called Desert Haze, features nude, peach and smokey brown shades.

The UK makeup artist teased the bronzer on her site and on social media ahead of launch.

As Charlotte Tilbury explains on her website, the Airbrush Bronzer has been inspired by her Airbrush Flawless Finish powder which is reportedly so popular, one is sold every minute worldwide. That’s according to global sales figures for Airbrush Flawless Finish from January to December 2019.

The Airbrush Bronzer uses the same finely-milled pigments as are in the Flawless Finish powder to create a bronzing filter that “smooths over your skin to make you look and feel like the best version of yourself.”

In particular, it contains soft focus micro powders from nano-particles that are designed to blur lines and imperfections, “sitting like a soft micro-fine cashmere veil on top of your skin.”

In addition, rose wax and almond oil in the powder hydrate your skin throughout the day and the original powder has light-reflecting ingredients that help create a luminous complexion and even finish.

The Airbrush Bronzer steps up these skincare benefits a notch with:

  • Hyaluronic Acid which moisturises the skin
  • Silky Mica treated with amino acids
  • Soft-focus silica

The Airbrush Bronzer is available in four shades – Fair, Light, Tan and Deep. That’s one more than the Flawless Finish powder is available in.

We currently use Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette for our contouring and bronzing needs because the bronzer itself isn’t too orange and it has a nice light finish. It will be interesting to see if the Airbrush Bronzer standalone product can usurp this palette as our go-to bronzer!
