LolaVie UK: Everything we know about the new Jennifer Aniston skincare and hair care line

Celebrity makeup and skincare lines are not the reserve of Gen Z influencers like Kylie Jenner. Jennifer Lopez has already proved there’s a market for collections aimed at all ages – you can read more about JLO Beauty UK here – and now her namesake, Jennifer Aniston is getting in on the action.

The actress, renowned for being a style icon since her role as Rachel in Friends made her a household name, teased her upcoming brand, called LolaVie, on Instagram on Thursday.

She shared two photos to her own account that showed her at a photo shoot with the caption: “Something’s coming.” She then tagged the LolaVie Instagram account in the photos, which has since acquired more than 11k followers.

Going over to the LolaVie Instagram page, the brand contains a link to a static web page alongside three teaser images.

The first shows a glass jar on top of a pile of books. The second shows a blurry product shot behind what appears to be a shower screen. The third shows Jennifer Aniston’s hair hanging into what looks like a hairdresser’s sink.

This isn’t the first product to be launched under the LolaVie brand. Jennifer released a perfume under this name back in 2010.

More recently, in July 2019, she submitted a patent to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a beauty brand called LolaVie that will sell “lotions for face and body, non-medicated soaps for face and body, non-medicated preparations for care of the skin, bath gel, deodorant and hair care preparations.”

On the static web page is simply a signup form, with the tagline “Naturally You.”

All of this points to the release of a range of skincare products made from natural products. We’d be surprised if the range wasn’t also vegan and cruelty-free. Given Jennifer’s long history of being a hair icon, there is likely to be a focus on hair care.

While LolaVie will be Jennifer’s first standalone brand, she has been an ambassador and stakeholder in the Unilever-owned hair care brand Living Proof and Aveeno, and recently signed as the chief creative officer of collagen-based ingestible brand Vital Proteins last year.
