The Elemis Advent Calendar 2023 is set to be one of the stars of the Festive season. Here’s everything we’re expecting about its release date, price and what’s inside its contents
Elemis is one of the best skincare brands around, but that title also means its products come with a hefty price tag. We’re huge fans of the Cleansing Balm and Apricot Toner but, sadly, our bank balance is not.
This is why we’re so excited for the Elemis Advent Calendar to come back for 2023. It’s a relatively pricey purchase – at £189 – but it contains more than £550 worth of Elemis bestsellers.
Below we’ve detailed everything we know about the Elemis advent calendar 2023 from what’s inside to its price, and release date.
The Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Cleansing Balm, and Dynamic Resurfacing Pads in this year’s calendar are all full-size. Inside 15 of the calendars are golden tickets which give you £ 1,000 worth of Elemis products.
Having bought the Elemis advent calendar for the past two years – you can see the 2022 version in our unboxing videos as part of our TikTok playlist – we’d say there are better calendars out there to spend £180.
It’s not a bad advent calendar by any means; it contains a small number of full-sized products that cost almost half the price of the calendar on their own. However, the majority of the contents are travel-sized.
On one hand, this is great if you want to try different products and see how they work on your skin. On the other, you ideally need to use a product for around six weeks to see the full impact. This is because six weeks is the average length of a skin cycle.
Some of the travel-sized products in the Elemis calendar won’t last that long. In fact, we got through the Superfood Day Cream in a week. This means you won’t truly know how well they work or if your skin is going to respond to them.
Of all the Elemis products we have tested, the best is the Elemis Rehydrating Toner but even then it’s currently in last place in our toner list. The Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser is 101st place in our best moisturiser list, and the Elemis Pro-Collagen Morning Matrix is 110th (out of a current total of 112…!)
Last year we posted unboxing videos of the best beauty advent calendars, including Elemis, and we will be doing the same this year.
For 2023, we’ll be posting full unboxings of each calendar individually, as and when the calendars arrive, and if you want to be the first to know, follow us on TikTok!
Alternatively, if you want to see what was in last year’s best beauty advent calendars you can find all of the videos in our Advent 2022 Playlist on TikTok. We’ve embedded one of the videos below to give you an idea of what to expect.
